To advance “out of the box thinking”, professional enrichment, and educational opportunities that drive innovation and empower collaboration of public sector and industry leaders responsible for leveraging IT governance industry standards and validated best practices to communicate and analyze the cost, quality, and value of IT investments to their agencies, businesses and partners.

About AIM Council

With over a decade of experience as the former CPIC Forum & Conference, initially chartered in 2006, the AIM Council strives to spark innovation and integrate governance by incorporating unified approaches to Technology Business Management, Capital Planning & Investment Control, and Strategic Planning.

We combine our governance professional memberships with our governance educational arm to create an “all things governance” annual educational summit (now in our 12th year) and periodic, in-person, educational courses. We share and discuss the latest guidance from the Office of Management and Budget and provide presentations on hot topics like TBM, AI, & Blockchain all while providing networking and access to the most cutting edge, up-to-date IT governance solutions.

Henderson is a motivated and highly analytical self-starter, natural leader, and results-driven, team player who has served as on the Board of Directors since ____ and in 2017, assisted as an annual conference co-chair.

William “Bill” McVay is the Chief Innovation Officer (CINO)/Senior Vice President for Integrated Systems, Inc (ISI), a Woman-Owned Small Business consulting firm serving customers through award-winning Management and Business Consulting and Agile Development and Systems Modernization.  Bill has been honored to support Government Modernization and IT Transformation from multiple aspects in the community.  He has served as a Federal employee at GSA and OMB, and served in several IT companies in the Washington, DC area leading their Strategic Consulting Services and CXO support.  He has been involved in IT Management, CPIC, Enterprise Architecture, Performance Improvement and IT Modernization since 1993 and served in multiple roles to implement the Clinger-Cohen Act, OMB A-130, FITARA, e-Gov Act, and OMB Circular A-11.  He has won the President’s Award for Excellence, several Fed 100, and other awards for his work in these areas. Bill has been an enthusiastic supporter of AIM Council and its legacy, Federal CPIC Forum, for many years.  He is excited about working with the other board members and the AIM Council as it works to build partnerships to advance collaboration and innovation across public sector and industry.

When not working, Iwan focuses on helping to create more diversity in leadership by supporting women leaders at all levels of management, whether at the C-suite Level, mid to early career, or within boards of businesses. She feels there are tremendous opportunities for women to grow and have an impact in all types of industries and her time spent with the Ellevate Network, Women in Technology, and the AIM Council’s legacy forum are important ways she has been able to advance that cause. Following an experience-rich 13-year career with Bechtel, Andersen Consulting, James Martin & Co, and Ernst & Young, Gustavo A. Calderón founded Acquisition Workforce, Inc. (AWi) in 1998.
AWi provides Acquisition & Programmatic Support for Complex Mission Critical Portfolios (Applied Decision Support, Blockchain & AI) and Calderón has been supporting the efforts of our legacy forum since _____.

In addition to his three decades in management consulting, advisory services, customer-serving roles, and spearheading consumer product ventures, Calderón has 30 years of educational speaking and teaching experience. His topics range from entrepreneurship, business, and technology, to the entire curriculum of the Federal Acquisition Certification for Program and Project Managers (FAC-P/PM). More recently his teaching and professional focus has been on Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence and related technologies.

Calderón also enjoys maintaining a year-round high level of physical fitness enabling him to push his athletic limits in Telemark skiing, road and mountain bike endurance events, running marathons, and competing in Ironman (140.6) triathlons.

Involved with our Legacy Forum since 2010, John Lever, MIS, is the President of BCSG. Prior to BCSG, Lever founded the Lever Group, a management consulting firm, led practice teams at BearingPoint, KPMG and KPMG Consulting. He also served as Chief Information Officer for Navix Radiology Systems, and as an elected ANC Commissioner in the District of Columbia Government for multiple terms. Lever has both a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Information Systems from Florida International University and has served on our board of directors since ____.

Award winning Subject Matter Expert and Certified Project Management Professional, Kelly Morrison has served the US Federal Government for over 15 years. Her career includes Capital Planning, Project/Program/Portfolio Management and Performance Analyst positions within the FDA, Dept. of Interior, and the Office of Management and Budget. Most notably touted for her knowledge of the “intricacies of the CPIC process”, collaboration, and “how she connects with people”, Morrison has been recognized by industry leaders including the TBM Council, Office of Management and Budget, Fed100, and Top 50 Women in Tech. Even in her current position as Sr. Strategic Advisor to the CIO at USAID, she finds time to continue her long-standing volunteer roles with Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership and Girl Scouts of the USA. A former colleague said of Morrison, “If you have the chance to work with her, you are lucky.”

Tanaia Parker is Founder and President of T. White Parker, a strategy and management consulting firm specializing in enterprise problem solving and strategic management. For more than 14 years, she has worked as a strategy consultant, enterprise architect, and business advisor to various levels of management within multi-billion-dollar companies, public-sector organizations, and emerging startups. Her breadth of experience has helped to create a unique perspective and approach to strategic management and enterprise architecture. Ms. Parker has a bachelor's degree in business administration from American University and an MBA from George Washington University. Ms. Parker currently serves as President of the National Capital Area Chapter of the Association for Strategic Planning.

New to the AIM Council Board of Directors this year, Tushar Garg is the CEO of BCSG. Garg arrives with over 12 years of technology and entrepreneurship experience. He has served federal and commercial clients across healthcare, finance, and law enforcement/public safety domains. Garg has led multiple projects implementing web applications and data exchanges across disparate environments using an Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) and managed systems implementations across various platforms ranging from web portals to enterprise-wide budgeting systems. His formal education concluded with a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technologies from American University.

As the AIM Council’s Executive Director (Acting), Laura Johnson works closely with the Board of Directors to oversee the mission, strategy, planning, branding, and financial growth of the Council while meeting the needs of the industry she serves. With her 25+ years in planning, program management, facilitation and marketing, Ms. Johnson brings her skills in leadership, organization, messaging and communication to the Council.

Prior to joining AIM Council, Ms. Johnson served as a Senior Program Director for the Federal CPIC Forum and managed every annual Federal IT Governance Summit programs (formerly known as the CPIC Conference) since its inception in 2003. Ms. Johnson also served as Vice President, Training and Strategic Development for Homeland Defense Journal for six years, and President/COO for its sister company, Government*Horizons for two years. In these roles, Ms. Johnson was responsible for expanding the companies’ training product line, forming industry partnerships, and for fiscal responsibility and management oversight for all details related to training. Ms. Johnson also created and managed the companies’ private training department and worked with clients to create customized workshops tailored to their needs.

Prior to joining Homeland Defense Journal in 2003, Ms. Johnson served as Manager, Training Programs for ABS Consulting and provided overall leadership in planning, budgeting, producing, and administering 175 courses nationwide annually, as well as achieving marketing targets. She managed all staff related to program development, course planning and administration, course production, and hotel contracting. She was responsible for the strategic direction, management, and growth of the department’s training seminars and for maintaining course content on an e-commerce website. Her responsibilities also included speaker selection and liaison, marketing oversight, and sales and quality performance.

Ms. Johnson earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Communication from University of Maryland, College Park and was awarded the “Outstanding Educational Partner” in 2008 and 2012 by the Federal CPIC Forum.

Sareth Neak is a trade media veteran with over twenty years of experience in print and online media, events, and training. He is also an expert in business development, marketing and business operations and has assisted in the growth of large multi-million dollars companies to small startups. Since 2009, he has created and hosted over 40 conferences and training programs in homeland security, port security, critical infrastructure protection, mass casualty response and risk and crisis communications. He has also created media platforms such as Homeland Security Outlook and Maritime Security Outlook which drew over 5,000 unique visitors per month. Prior to his work in Homeland Security, Sareth Neak was a Director of the National Specialty Food Trade Association (NASFT) where he spearheaded the expansion of the NASFT into the organic and ethnic food industries resulting in the addition of hundreds of new member companies and multi-million dollar revenue growth for the organization. He looks forward to using his expertise and experience to grow and sustain the AIM Council’s membership and sponsors base for many years to come.

A strong supporter of our legacy forum since its 2006 inception, Daniel York leads both the eCPIC/Folio PMO as well as the team that is working on the federal TBM implementation. He continues to serve as a strategic partner to OMB OFCIO, providing support for both the Federal IT Spending Transparency PMA CAP Goal, as well as the development of the BY17 through BY21 IT Budget Guidance.
